As part of the Legacy Project for the 2022 Women’s EURO, Miss Kick Foundation are delivering free events to raise awareness of the drop off rates amongst teenage girls in sport.
A recent survey by Women in Sport has found girls are more likely to drop out of sport as teenagers due to reasons such as body image, puberty and fear of judgement.
We want to help combat this, by creating a opportunities for girls to talk with the likes of young Lionesses about these issues and ask questions about being an elite athlete. The events include a 1 hour Q&A panel followed by a 1 hour football training session.
The events are completely free and open to girls aged 12 to 18 who are playing competitive football.
